Acryllic safe pecos?

Are there any plecos safe for an acryllic tank? I keep hearing that they (or commons at least) scratch up the plastic. True?

If it was my acrilic tank I wouldn't do any plecos.

Some of the "Whiptail" varieties will do ok. I had a 20 gallon acrylic tank, that used to have a whiptail that did no damage to the tank. The royal on the other side however did not leave the tank looking so hot. That was a long time ago, and a big mistake.
