I'm sure it has been done and tested, but I am curious as to how corals will do under straight actinic lights over long periods of time. Anyone currently running actinics only on their coral tanks or have in the past. If so, what kind of results did you get? Better, worse or the same.

it would be just like raising them under morning light I don't believe in the long run they would fair well unless its just mushroom's, zoanthids,

the corals have shown no real ill effects so far, my duncans are coming back from being partially buried, my torch from the same, the monti cap is going great as are the shrooms, finger polyps and misc closed brain coral. the only thing that isn;t is the goniopora but that's been on it's way out for a while now... everything is still recovering from a stint without ANY light from over xmas weeks
