activated carbon for 150 gal

hi i brought 1kg of activated carbon for my 150gal 3 weeks ago to remove the tanins but it hasn't done a thing.

is this enough or do i need more.

I stopped using carbon three years ago. I found it to be a waste of money. As for the tannins water changes and time is going to be the best remedy. I have about 150lbs of driftwood in my tank and it took a long time to get my water to be consistantly clear. Trust me though the consistant wc's will do the trick.

Water changes and time are the only thing that is going to get rid of the tannins.
