Okay, so since i have some carbon filter pads in my external filters (which need to be replaced) i was wondering, if i put a bag of Activated Carbon straight into my tank would it do anything for the tank or would it be considered useless due to not having a constant flow of water running across it?

So yeah, just wanted some advice / thoughts from any members who may have tried this in the past, and what sort of results they got (if any)?

So no body even has a thought on if it would do anything?

It will absorb whether water is forced through it or not. I keep a bag of carbon sitting in the bottom of my algae scrubber sump.

^ Thanks for the answer, just what i was looking for...
