hello i just opened up a bottle of activated carbon and when i did all this gas was comin out and when i started rinsing it it was whistling even after the water was drained off... anyone have this happen? i'm sure theres nothing wrong with i just never heard it whistle afore.

i had it happen with the large carbon pellets,but that was a few years ago,still used it and didnt have a problem.
was it anything like the *snap*, *crackle* and *pop* of Rice Krispies? my guess is your just hearing the reaction of dry, dusty material to water and there was some settling taking place . . .
