I accidently somehow got activated carbon from my filter into my tank, will this cause any kind of disruption or harm to my fish?
 
i dont think so, as long tits been rinsed out from dust and debri.

Honestly.... No idea... I was in a filter I bought.
 
carbon is used to absorb impurities in the water such as chlorine and other toxic agents. it will not harm your fish, however, carbon should be replaced periodically (1-2 months).

although it's standardized to use carbon as part of your overall filtration system, it's use it not essential in your aquarium upkeep. therefor, if you wish to save money or the hassle of replacement, you don't necessarily need it.
