ive got a small(2") raphael that always seems to be out and about with or without food present. just finding it peculiar as this species is known for staying hidden.

Nice,a friend of mine has a nice sized one that is pretty active and the tank light is on most of the day.
that could be the case here also. tank has a male clown plec, large male bn, and a oscillated syno to squabble with over caves
Honestly thought my spotted Raphael died because I never saw it and it had this legendary hiding spot?
I didn't see my 1 striped and 2 spotteds for nearly a year until I had to break down the tank to move it. They were all in a large tree stump ornament lol. In fact I lost one of the spotted because he got stuck in the stump when I took it out of the tank. So I didn't put that ornament back in when resetting the tank. They still have hiding spots but I can see them lol. Last pic is the stump ornament I removed and the deceased spotted.?
Thanks. It's a shame I just have it sitting in my unused fish stuff lol. The catfish loved it.
I actually have an artificial stump that is similar in looks and size to that one.
