I have a 6 month RES and i was wondering if theres anything i can put in his tank to make him not so bored...i take him out and let him rome around but when he goes back in his tank he just looks so bored....anything i can do?:screwy:

Apart from lots of swimming space I dunno...Turtles don't really get bored lol.

You could put a few of those feeder minnows or a feeder goldfish in there to keep him busy. How big is the tank? Do you have any powerheads providing any currents?

We had a turtle setup at work where one side of the tank had a nice current to it, in the middle was the basking area, and on the other side was a more "still" area. Basically the turtles could choose where they wanted to go. One downside to aquatic turtles is that they need a lot of space to really be happy...

The more room your turtle has to swim around the better. In the wild if they're not sunning themselves, they're swimming around looking for food. I gave my Stinkpot plenty of stuff to climb on and rocks for him to explore around for small aquatic delicacies seeing how he spends absolutely no time sunning himself.

he is in a 40 gallon long right now....and i have minnows in there but he doesnt seem interested in them anymore

We put a couple danios in the tank with our RES thats about 3yrs old. Every once in a while she will chase them, but the rest of the time shes either basking or begging for food.
