do actnic bublbs help the growth of coral and also can iuse t5's to keep corals.
 
Yes, actinics are just a different wavelength, they will still put out the right wattage. Just be warned that only using blue light can give you a headache if you are watching the tank too long. you will want to mix in some other lights eventually.
 
actinics have a certain wavelength that will help bring out color in fish and promote growth in corals. t-5s are starting to be the new age of lighting. if your shopping around for a t-5 unit, make sure you get something thats HO or VHO, (high output, very high output). this will be much more intense and your corals will like it more, depending on the coral of course. get the best unit you can afford and stay away from the single large reflector as the units with individual bulb reflectors send much more light through the water.
 
yeah that would most likely be a 10,000K daylight. its standard in most setups! its a good combo too but you can play around with and find a different daylight color that you like.
