So i recently built a 3 axis cnc router in my garage, and now Im looking at fish related projects. I want to make a new overflow box for my 125, similar to the one Chompers made a while back, but I want to do heat bends instead of cutting and glueing all the little pieces together. And of the DIY guys out there make thier on heat benders? Im looking at a couple from tapplastics.com and briskheat but its more fun to make the whole thing haha.

i once saw a thread, not sure if it was on here or not, where someone had made a tannk under a coffee table and the tank has wavy sides.

they had bent the acrylic by strapping 4-5 heat guns together and it worked fine. but the tank wasnt very deep. for a deeper tank you would struggle with so many heat guns needed

Which kit did you use? I was looking at these today thinking I might enjoy the creative uses.

i heat bend using my home oven set ant 250-300 degrees and place acrylic on a flat surface like a cookie sheet

I ordered a line bender from briskheat.com. When I get it Ill post pics of assembling it and bending. I think it may be beneficial for some people here. The bender itself was only like 52 with 2 day shipping. Im pretty stoked for new DIY possibilities.
