I have a 180 gal 6x2x2 current stock is a tire track eel, 2x eclipse catfish, jaguar cichlid and a pike cichlid. Just wondering if there is any species of knife fish that would work with this combo. Black ghost knives and Brown knives are available to me regularly. Is my tank already over stocked? if not will the jag be too aggro for a knife? the jag is smallest in the tank maybe 1inch and half. So its too small to sex.

how big do aba aba knives get. And i want it to co-exist with my other fish have heard nothing but bad about the aba aba's aggression. will have to look up the greenline knives

I would think the Aba Aba would get too big for that tank since it is already stocked with some nice sized fish, or atleast fish that will get nice sized. I think a black ghost or clown knife would work for you. Ghosts like to hide a lot, but the clownknives are a little more personable and will be a nice addition to what you already have.

a clown would get too big no? thought about a ghost i have moonlights but would love a clown if it wouldnt be over stocking, an fx5 and DIY filter will be cleaning up the tank along with weekly water changes

the tank also has misc tetras in there for original cycling but will end up food hopefully

my black ghost likes to hide a lot, but if anyone goes near its hidey-hole, it will chase them off. they are a little sensitive, but should be okay.

if you dont want to upgrade, i wouldnt get a clown, but if you do, it should be a good knife for the tank. i wouldnt trust an aba aba from all i've heard.

not planning on upgrading any time soon just bought the 180. would a ghost knife work? they are readily available and have the moonlights

a clown knife would likely be able to live in that tank for life, but it might not (as long as it doesn't get much longer than the width, it would be fine) , so dont quote me on that. if u are willing to upgrade if u have to, get a clown, but u might not have to.
