so i have a 55 gallon tank with the 70g overflow filter on the back of it....i do 5g water changes every other day because i have 6 fish it it that arent that small....my plan was to get another 70g filter to hang on the back and also continue my 5g water changes every other day....is that overkill or to much filtration??

not overkill at all. 5g water changes every other day to me would be a waist of time. why not do 20% twice a wk or something of that nature? but again, this would all depend on the type of fish you have in there? whats it stocked with?

^^ ok good lol i want it as filterd as i can get it...i have 2 koi...1 oscar....1 silver tipd catfish....a 3 inch redtail catfish and a rtcxtsn catfish

haha i knoo tell me about it their gettin rele big to quick lol.... im saven for a 150-200g tank

You've got an RTC in there. Consider adding a zero to those figures and making it 1500-2000 gallons.

RTC get huge. Put one in a 150-200 gallon tank and there'll be no room for water.
