Hi All,

I have just bought a 55g 4 ft tank, and wanted to know if I could add one or two T-Bar cichlids to the tank. If you have any other suggestions for Cichlids that get a Kok but will get along with my acaras I would also be interested!

My stocking currently is:

1 x electric blue acara
1 x blue acara
6 x albino corydoras
7 x cardinal tetras
1 x BN pleco

Thanks!!

The T-bar will probably be too aggressive for the milder aggressive Acara's.

Thanks guys, might look into kribensis of angels.
What are jewel Cichlids like?

I agree with tlindsey, on all counts.
Beside the aggression of the sajica, and tendency of Thorichthys to do best in groups of their own kind, the rams would be geographically correct, as are the South American species you already have. Both FMs and sajica are Central Americans, which puts them at an entirely different aggression level than S Americans.
Sajicas usually find any other blue cichlid to be a territorial interloper, to be dealt with severely.
And a proper shoal of FMs would max out that size tank, even half grown.
And although the FMs and Sajica are not necessarily piscivores, they would eat your cardinals if opportunity arose, as they grew.
You also don't say if all your current fish are adults, and if not, when they are older, the tank probably doesn't have much more extra space for anything larger than more dwarf cichlids like rams, or apistos.
My pair of Sajica would basically max out a 55 gal on their own, as adults, and might just kill all other fish in it, at that time.

They are killers.
You could consider keyhole cichlids.
