I have a 150 gallon fish only with a wet/dry sump. Some photos are here:

The third photo shows the tank. I was thinking of adding some rock to the left side. If I do, I might get the Bulk Reef Supply Dry Rock shown here (and have to cure it) or some live cured rock at a LFS.

Are there issues with having both live rock and the wet/dry sump?

I do not want to do the entire tank with live rock and eliminate the bioballs. I want some live rock for decoration and places to hide.

Also, I have had to use cupramine in the past. I am hoping I do not have to use it again, but if I do, is there an issue with the rock in there? I never plan on using it with a reef so I am not worried about it leaching out over time if that is the only concern. I also know that with rock, getting teh cupramine does stable is tougher, but that happened with the sand and coral skeletons too.

thanks,

Mike
