I have a 8 to 9inch azul with a sliver aro. Looking to add 2 or 3 5 to 6inch kelberi. Is it better to go with 3 vs 2 to spread aggression? The azul is kind of aggressive

+1 odd numbers are always better to reduce the chance of one being singled out and being bullied
Dont have any experience with azuls but with kels. IME kels are quite timid for being a cichla. Ive tried big kels with my orinos and that did not work out well. Got a friend who introduced three large azul females with her group of 5 kels and had to move the kels to another tank due to the azuls being to feisty.
Yeah...not sure if I should give it a shot. The azul just chases the other fishes at times but he is good with the arowana. I guess I will just have to see how it goes. The kels are called golden spider. Not sure what is the difference from the bahia?.
Gold, spider, 24 k, Bahia all the same fish... just fancy common names given by sellers.
