I have a 5.5 inch Squeaker that was only a bit bigger than 1 inch back in Nov., -- just to give you experienced cat folks a general idea of age. He JUST started swimming freely in the tank when he knows people are around, and he has reached adult coloring.
My question is, how would he likely treat a second squeaker if I got a young one? Would a young one be a better idea than one of about equal size? {Even a young one is hard to find around here, but I'm willing to wait...}
The current Squeaker has only one tankmate, bought at the same time. That one is still just over an inch long, and will be going into a separate tank due to his stress level since the cat has been out of hiding more. The Squeaker isn't aggressive -- at least when I'm watching; he just follows his tankmate around like HE knows where the GOOD food is. LOL!!!
At this point they are in a twenty long. I've read lately that Squeakers can get bigger than the 7 or 8 inches I'd been expecting, so a bigger tank is in the future anyway I guess.
