Hi All,

Just a bit cautious as to whether adding a ehiem 2217 to an established 180g with sump might throw off the current bio

Any thoughts from the experienced? I don't have any other tank to get the canister established in before adding and I believe the additional canister will assist in maximising the bio load as the 2 in-take pipes are not taking down enough water to the sump for the pump to be even working at half its capacity (4500lph pump)

canisters are always helpful... u should try one out!

It'll be fine. It's not like cycling a new tank. You won't have to worry about any spikes.
