i don't want to take all the water and fish out of my tank it's a 90 gallon with no center brace I've asked before different questions but I'm wondering if I found a solution could I empty it to about a qrt full and cut out a 4" section in the middle of the top frame on both sides and silicone a 4" piece of glass on top of glass and just have that section of frame missing while fish and water are in it?

If you can keep the fish alive and healthy for three days like that. You have to give the silicone time to fully cure before you refill.

If you can get a bar clamp and clamp it just tight enough to take the pressure off the center then cut the frame add the glass let the silicone cure before removing the clamp. You would only have lower the water slightly.

I just cut the top part of frame 8" wide to the top of glass on tank. left the rest intact and put a 8" wide piece of 1/4" glass thickest hardware store had they said it's double strength or something so hopefully it's enough. I didn't have a clamp big enough so I lowered water to get rid of bow and siliconed it on hopefully it holds I have a fan on it. Some plastic and silicone dust got in the tank I put up tape to try and catch it but didn't get it all. My canister needs a higher water level to work so that's off, hopefully the ac 110 sucks up all the dust in there I netted out as much as I could. Silicone said it needs 24 hr to cure.
