I've got a 170G with a smallish sump (came with the tank). It's probably about 30G with the w/d section full of bioballs. I'm planning to add the fx5 to take care of mech mainly but I was planning to at least use some of the baskets for bio. Any media suggestions? I was thinking some combo of regular floss and either biomax or ehfisubstrat but I'd love to hear others' opinions.

So no floss, or pads? I've heard the polishing pad clogs but I was thinking the fine pad might be good.
i have all three baskets full of pot scrubbies, but a lot of people use the fluval or eheim media. and avoid putting pads in the baskets, they clog too quickly
Thanks. So no pads...I'd read the polishing pad is a waste for the clogging so I guess that's no surprise. Now I just have to find some scrubbies (don't think the local dollar stores have any).
