Adding a Jag

You guys think it would be safe to add a 3-4" jaguar cichlid with my 2 7" pbass? or should i look around for a larger one? thanks

I'd go with at least a 5"...can't trust those Pbass with smaller fish.

lol im going to keep sileint.. most of you know how i feel about cichla tank mates... more cichla and possibly a pike <- but only because i like them lol

oh, well i have an oscar, firemouth and a mayan and they all get alone fine. even in my decor less 150

Getting along is not the issue with Cichla and most feeders They get along just fine until they fit But most change their tanks long before either posts a threat to the other..


I would also go with the larger jag versus smaller. But i have had to remove a 9" plec from a 15" Cichla.

I think it is going to depend on the growth and stomaches of one sp... Vs. the attitude of the other as to whether it will work out long term
