adding a new filter

right now i have my 55g setup with the fish in my sig. in january im moving and want to setup my 125g then. i will be moving all fish over to the 125g at that time.

i have a fx5 that i will be using to filter the 125g. i have an xp3 and two AC70s on the 55g that i will add to the 125g until the fx5 is cycled. should i add media from the other filters to the fx5 to help it cycle or can i just add it to the tank with the other filters running?

hey my uncle has a 120g tank and his water is really green. hes lookin for a canister filter to replace his homemade one? what do you think?

You can add some bio media from an existing filter. I think that'll hep it along but still run the other filters with it.
