Is it nessessary to quarentine a Ray like you would a fish? I am getting another ray or two next week and really would like to put them in the main pond but am a little weary about doing that cause of disease or parasites. I just have the one Rays in there now.

Very much so.
I'd set up something small and easy to care for, bare bottom so you don't end up housing any incoming parasites. Depending on where you are getting it from, and what shape it's in, there are several different ways to go about quarantining the new ray.

I have the kiddie pool still set up with the small rays in there, I could put them in with the mom and put the new one in that pool. What kind of meds? prazipro and is there a copper substitute for parasites?

I wouldn't do anything unless you had a reason to. Most of my rays turned out to be healthy. I just let them sit for 30 days. 99.999999% of parasites out there will have started the lifecycle by then, so you'll see them if you have them. I'm not a big fan of hitting rays (or sharks) with drugs unless they need them. Tends to stress them out... leaving them open to things that they may not otherwise get.

If anything, do a light nitrofurazon bath for them for 5-7 days when you get them. If they are wild caught, once they are eating, try a dewormer like Panacur.

Prazi will work on some external things, but not all. If something turns up, we can help you ID it, and get you set up with something that will target what you have.

I agree,
I've had 5+ rays, and always introduced them together, then again always had very established, mature and healthy water, i feel that mature healthy water will sustain a new ray even if they have been subject to some parasites, they will be okay for the majority of things, if you find some massive outbreak, its always treatable. give your new ray his home and hope for the best, problems are always easy to deal with with healthy water.

have fun, seriously you are lucky to be able to have a pond with accommodating ray water conditions.... i have a huge tank in my house and cannot have anything outside cause it gets -40 Celsius out here..... appreciate your fish and congrats on adding to your pond.
