Adding a Water bridge

I saw joeys video on making a water bridge and was wondering if its safe? I want one to add extra water valume to my tank. Thx for any infos.

I've seen this before and I'd say it's pretty safe. You should see the ones made out of acrylic, they're amazing.

There is also clear PVC available (although quite expensive, compared to regular PVC) if you want to view what's happening in the bridge.
I have made fluidized filters and protein skimmers out of it, and is glued together using regular PVC glue.

Yeah i already made it but should of went with clear insead. So far seems safe and no leaking and flooding. Here's the video if anyone wants to try too.

 
The filter part or the connecting?
Well anyway, since the two bodies of water are now connected it's like keeping the fish from the 2 tanks in 1 tank that's the size of the two tanks combined so all of the pollutions will be diluted.
I believe that if you do a water change on one it's like doing a water change on both.

I just made the bridge, i didn't do his filter. One of my tanks is sumped and the other one is not so i just made the bridge to connect them both.

You know of anyone who might have done one in the past? I'm kinda pulling a blank here, I don't thin red fish or deadliest viper would have.. nor jexnell....
