adding african fry to main tank

hello, i have some fry from my africans in a growout right now and was wondering when i can put them in the main tank with there parents, its a 55 gallon with lots of rockwork, the fish in the main tank are 3"-3.5" most being closer to 3 and the fry are about 1" to 1.25" thanks in advance, John

i agree with JHutch... just include alot of nooks and crannies for young ones to hide... if nessasary...

Plenty of rocks sounds like it would be OK. Maybe try to add the fry when the light are just about to go out.
 
Whats the fish community like in the U.P.?

I've been going to Iron Mountain in the summers for the past 25 yrs.
