I have a 125 GA, 72x24x28. I have Pictus, CL's, a GN Pleco, 2-3 inch Syns, GTs, JDs, and Sajica. Filtration is 2 Eheim 2217's. Tank's been up for months, fish look fine, 0 Ammonia and Nitrite, less than 10 Nitrate. I do several WCs per week to vacuum up solids off the bottom more than anything else. The Eheim returns move water at the top very well, but the bottom seems pretty still to me. With the GN Pleco, I"ve read that water current is important, so I'm wondering if I should add a powerhead or a small Koralia at the bottom or middle of the tank. Substrate is sand, so I don't want to kick it up and start running alot of it through the Eheim's. What is your experience with this? What size Koralia is good for my tank size? Do I but 2, put them in the middle blowing towards the ends of the tank at about halfway to the bottom?

You probably want more surface agitation than lower side current. I'd probably go with something in the 1400-2000 gph range. Hydor Koralias are what I use, and I have no complaints at all.

When I had my 125g african cichlid setup (had to break it down because of moving - but going to be setting it back up soon!!) I needed more circulation at the bottom of my tank to keep waste from settling in my rock formations.

I got a koralia and put it at the top of one end pointed down toward the middle of my tank. This made a world of difference in the overall circulation of water in my tank, and meant I didn't have to vacuum my sand as much - just do water changes!

Do I put one on one end of the tank so that current is always in one direction? Or do I buy two, put one on each end, so they face each other?
