I am considering adding a few coral-stones to a set 50+ gallon Malawi tank to increase the hardness and as a good PH buffer (towards the basic/alkaline side).
I have about 2 kgs of these stones, which I hope will be enough for the 4-5 footer I plan to upgrade these Malawis too in a month or so.
Is there some calculation involving the tank volume and volume of the coral that needs to be done when adding these stones to the tank?
