i have 4 bronze cories right now and i wanna increase the school to about 8. the problem is i cant find more bronze corys. my lfs has albino. so my question is would the corys get along good even if they're different types. and by get along i mean play together and stay in a group.

I've heard that Cories will school with other Cories. And if anything, they won't fight.

I've heard both sides. Different cories won't school together but will live together without issue. And other people say they will school together. I guess you'll just have to try it and hope for the best.

I do believe that the albino cories found in pet shops are the albino variant of bronze cories so they will school together because they are the same species.

Yer i have heard tto that Corys school what ever the type , if not they will get along fine with no problem and still look great together any ways in your tank .

Maybe get about 8 or 10+ of another type of Cory f now , then when you find the Bonze Corys you were looking for at first you could get them and increase your Bronze school then .

I had fairly large groups (8-10+) of several different species of cories in a 60"x18"x27" tank and they usually stayed with their own species. They'd come together to feed and would cross up and mingle while swimming their usual circuits around the tank but would always seperate and stay with their own species. I think they act differently when there are enough of them to form species specific groups.

One or two of a couple of different species will hang together if that's all there are in the tank but once enough of one specific species have been added they prefer to be in species specific schools. I've had cories chase "intruders" away from their school when they try to join in.
