i have a 55g tank thats mostly peacock/haps and was thinking about adding my 5 2" demasoni i have into my tank. Heres my stock in my 55g
Peacocks/haps
1 blue dolpin 4"
1 ahli 4"
1 benga sunshine 4"
1 female fire ob 3"
1 red empress 2"
1 red jacob 1 1/2"
1 albino sunburst 1 1/2"
Mbuna/other
1 acei 6"
1 gombe 2"
2 yellows breeders 3 & 4"
3 albino socolofi 2 1/2"

Should i add them?

I wouldn't. Mostly because demasoni are really aggressive especially with one another. That 5 will quickly become 1. They tend to kill each other off if not stocked in a large enough group. Once there is one there is a chance he will turn on the other fish. I had to rehome my demasoni due to him constantly trying to kill my msobos. Even though the msobos were larger.

I have my demasoni in a 35g tank by them self. They do fine. Im just afraid of the dems messing with my peacocks n makeing it were my small peacocks wont color. But a few months ago i had just 1 big male demasoni in my 35g and it ate the tail and dorsal fin off a albino red top zebra 2x its size

I don't think it's a good mix.

Also I really think your tank is stocked already.

i was thinkn about makeing my 35g into a saltwater tank. By might just get more demasoni and make my 35g into a demasoni show/breeding tank. Have u ever breed demasoni? I cant tell the sex of them. But hopeing to breed them. I have 9 for a while they never breed for me so i sold them.

Blue is right anything less than 12 and they kill each other off. Doesn't matter right now give it a few months. Once territories are claimed and they start maturing they are nasty. Cool Mbuna, but mean as hell.

Nothing really special to breeding them once a dominate male is established. Just like other mbuna they breed like rabbits when they start. Also you can't really 100% tell the sex unless you vent.

It MAY work if u just get one demasoni.buts its iffy b/c u have peacocks and they can be bullied by mbuna easily. The single fish thing has worked out for me with one male of many different mbuna.

This is a 48" long tank? My concern would be the fish you already have in there. The dolphin, the red empress...going to be big fish in a 4' tank. As to the demasoni's, I agree with everyone else, keep them outta there!
