Put JD, Tex, Sev and FM into new 90g (f-foot) setup last weekend. They're all between 2 and 4 inches big (FM the largest).

It's apparent the JD, at this time, wants to rule the tank. There is some chasing going on, but it hasn't been constant.

Would adding a school of say Tiger Barbs keep the JD from attacking the others?

Silver dollars will work, but if you just set up the tank you should let it cycle before increasing the bio-load. Set up more rock work so that the others can hide if they want also the stone will be additional surface area for beneficial bacteria

silver dollars like the other recommended but id say you will need to remove the severum. all those fish get pretty large and aggressive so the severum being the most mellow will get a thrashing

Sometimes just plenty of hiding places will be enough and at that size dithers shouldn't be necessary.
