Adding female Motoro?

I have a 12" male already and was hoping to breed someday. Their is a female at the LFS I have been eyeballing. She looks a little beat up and skinny. Should I try and fatten her up before adding or will she be okay? I thought about even blocking off a section of the tank with egg-crate just to give her some time to get healthy. Any advice appreciated.

Does she look skinny to anyone else or is it just me? These are my first Ray's.

A little skinny yes but nothing that can't be turned around very quickly as long as she is eating alright. Most stores don't feed well
