Is the tank cycled? If you are not cycling the tank the waiting period is useless.

true, if you leave it a year it will not cycle on its own.

They are likely thinking about chlorine in the water, perhaps temp?

The only thing 5 days up will do is clear chlorine & allow an under powered heater to take off the chill.

if you want fish in sooner then do it, but be reasonable on stocking. Dont load the tanks up.

If you do a fishless cycle then you are looking at at least 5 days.

add water from ur old tank to ur new one and put ur established filtration on it also, i think u should be fine ive done it b4 with no probs, but dont blame me if it doesnt work.;)

No reason to wait if you have a cycled filter

If the filter is established, then waiting is a bad thing the BB will starve if not fed.

everything is cycled, filter and powerheads have been running, ive already dechlorinated it and added eco-start.

I would throw the fish in, dont see a reason to wait.
