Adding iron for plants

I tried putting Seachem Fluorish Iron in my planted aquarium. Used Seachem MultiTest Iron test kit and followed instructions exactly. I put in recommended dose and tested. After doing this five times (5X the recommended dose ) I still could not get a colour reading on the chart. No colour. Not even when I did a low range test. Common sense made me stop adding more at this point. Could my plants be this starved for Iron? Has anyone else had this experience? Anyone got any tips or advice for using iron supplements.

I use green leaf aquariums chelated iron packs. It’s dosed to the size of my and level of iron.

Check ur test kit. If it’s truly 0 then ur plants maybe absorbing it quickly even though it seems like a lot.
