In my 100g, I have a pair of panamensis and a pair of haits. Thinking about adding a few micropthalmus. Not looking to breed them, but love their coloring and personality so I'd just want 3-4 of them.

The Haits will be going to a bigger tank when the time comes, so will probably just have the panamens and microps in the 100g.

What do you guys think?

Don't do it unless you want your Haitiensis to bloat. If I were you, I would remove all tank mates and leave the haitiensis pair.

The plan is to move the haits soon. I dont know much about the chuco's, so wanted to know on everyones thoughts so I can get an idea. As of right now, their coloration is making them my next additions.

If you want I'll buy the panamensis off you and you can focus on the haits until you move them.

I am going to keep the panamens pair for a while. They'll be a mainstay in the 100g. Still waiting for the haits to acclimate; they are still in a bit of shock.

The panamensis are already free roaming and look very happy ;-)

As long you move the Haits everything should be fine. I have 6 micros growing out atm. I haven't seen much aggression between them but i hear they can be nasty towards each other.

Nice, you have pictures? You dont see these guys around much. They are so beautiful. I might be grabbing some from Rapps while piggy backing off of aclockworkorange.

It is not my intention to breed the microps, but if it happens, it happens.

Love your signature by the way...

They have panamensis and microps at The Wet Spot. Was there yesterday.

We are fortunate to have them as an LFS.

I have a pair of Panamense and have raised some Micro's to 10". Panamense are easy, mostly non aggressive CA's. Probably like 4" max in most tanks. I wouldn't mix those with Haits. Micros are pretty aggressive as they grow but I had a group of 4 (all females as it turned out) that got along pretty well in a 180. The ones Dan (Cichlids of the Americas) is selling are from one of my females and an unrelated male. These are not fish for the inexperienced as all of them are bloat prone.

I would raise the micros and panamense together but you will need a bigger tank at some point. I bought my Panamense as a pair as a sort of target/dither for my Coeruleus pair and young Ornatum and they have proven to be excellent at that while growing very fat and spawning periodically for me.
