i was wondering what your guys thoughts are on adding a few more reds maybe carbie(is that the right spelling?)to a tank with 2 large juvinile rbp's
I was thinking about adding 3-5 more when i upgrade
I have pictures of my current piranha in my gallery

as long as you realize the risks and think that you can handle it, i say go for it. there is no such thing as a fool-proof way to add more pygos to the shoal, no matter what you do, there is a big risk involved. there are however things you can do to cut down on those risks, so if you decide to do it, post up and myself and others can walk you through it. i have kept piranhas for years with no serious problems, but i still get pretty nervous when i put together a shoal or add to it. i actually have two new caribes that i'm gonna be adding in with my reds once they are done with the quarantine and as excited as i am to have them in that tank, i am not looking forward to the anxiety-filled first 24 hours or so after i put them in. how big of a tank are you planning to upgrade to?

(When I add Piranha) , I do it when I do a water change , this way all
my existing Piranha are in a corner scared ..............They do not even
notice the new guy till I am done changing the water/gravel vac/cleaning

Then its like hay how did he get in here :D

agreed with master.

keep in mind that caribe are more territorial and aggressive then your reds.

Well cycle your new tank 1st. Once you get that all done go buy your new p's. Then add them all together in the new tank. That way no one has set up their territories yet and they all start at the beggining.

yeah, if you add caribes, they will definitely run that tank.

like when adding cichlids, with territories, if you rearrange the whole tank, and like master said also with water changes, it messes up teh territories so that all established lines are null and void, and then the territory has to be resestablished, this is where the trouble starts, if worst comes of it, = divider :)

put the feeders in to cycle the tank then put them all in together (thats what i did) i had three and added 9 they all get along great and there was no fights they schooled as soon as they were all together now the get along great so set up the tank cycle it then put all new ones in together i think thats your best bet

if u can't get a new tank then do like Gothyc_samurai said and rearange eveything adn make the establish new territories (man i can't spell lol)

feeders can help, but as stated earlier, adding caribes isn't like just adding some reds to an existing shoal of reds. putting all of them into the new tank at the same time to start things out is gonna be your best bet, that way they will all be a bit confused and there will be no pre-established territories.
