Well, I had asked this question on another forum with getting too much response so I'm gonna try here. I have a BARE (ie no hiding places) 300 gallon (8'x2'x30") with a 15 inch leichardti, 2 x 10-12" ST's, 1 x 10" IT, 1 x 6" ST, and 1 x 6" NGT. I have 2 more 6" NGT's and was wondering if I can add one or both into the mix without losing fish. Thanx in advance.

The Tank space is good, but no hiding spots and the NGT's being the same size makes it unlikely to work.

In the past, I had an 8" NGT with a 5" NGT together in a 6'x2'x2' with very little problem. However, recently, I could not get a 5" and a 6" NGT live together in a 84"x30"x24" and end up separate them. With the size of your tank plus you will add two more, I would try it, but keep close eye on them. At least, they fight and stress each other out, but won't kill each other. BTW, my tanks are all spare without hiding spot, too

Thanx for the replies. Jlnguyen74, do you think your successful attempt was because of the size difference in the 2 NGT's?

Thanx Sinister J, that's good to know.

Yeah but 10 NGTs and 2 NGTs is a totally different story. I've tried on several occasions to have 2 similar sized NGT's in the same tank, but ended up separating them.
GL hope it works out.
;)

Yes but he also has some large size ST's which will break up any fights. The 3 may chase each other but I dont forsee any probs. Just keep an eye on them homie.

Well, so far I have had 2 of the NGT's together for 36 hours now without seeing real damage. The 2 are almost identical in size (6 inches) while the one I left out is about an inch smaller. I did introduce a big rock cave and one of them staked out that place. They flare their gills at each other, slap their tails, and even lock jaws here and there. Thus far, I agree with SinisterJ in that the big ST's do stop a lot of the fights, most of the time just by swimming through or near the 2 fighting fish. The length of the tank helps too. I'll keep you posted.
