Does anyone add salt to their Piranha tank? I have 4 4"inch RBP's in a 55 gallon for now. If the answer is yes to adding salt, how much and how often? Thanks for the help!

I dont keep it in there regularly. I just use salt when I think they are sick.
I wouldnt keep salt in the aquarium, just use when you are treated something and have to treat the whole tank

otherwise if one gets attacked, or seems sick put in a q tank and salt that but not the whole tank.

There is no valid reason for using salt permanently. Does their native habitat even have salt? Heck no.

I use it about 25 % Of the time , They go nuts when I add salt , They will
go straight to it and party in the salt , The dubies fire up the barrel get rolled out its great . I will get a video of it . Piranha like the salt .

Remember salt will not evaporate , How I add salt : I add salt every fith or sith water change to be sure all the old salt is out , This also helps keep
the snail population in check .
