Adding small EBJD with Motoro pup??????

I want to add a few Electric Blue Dempseys in with my Motoro pup he is small 4 to 5in. but im scared he will eat them as they are in the 1.5 inch range to order, and I cant find any larger ones. Do you think he will eat them?????

Theres a good chance they will be a meal. Hard to say unless you try.

I lost a few fish ,small datniods1 1/2" and a few 3" bowfin to a ten inch Motoro that is well fed

At night when the fish are asleep.
If the pup is captive bred, I would be a little less worried. You could always put in a divider for a month or two.

I wouldn't my buddy put like 25 feeders in the tank with his ray took 4 days he ate some and killed the others.

I understand now. Rays are such beautiful fish. A single specemin should be amazing enough.
