Adding to the shoal

I have had six 4" red bellies for around a week now in a 260 and was wondering if adding to the group would help with how skittish they are? I know it could take a while for them to settle in but I was thinking that adding some more might make them feel a bit more secure. How many more could I keep in my tank?

Hi,

I think you're right. I my opinion, it's important to have the biggest possible group with Pygocentrus species. With a rule of 30g per fish (full grown), you can add 2-3 fishes.
