Hi all

Just a quick question, am I able to get my own wood from around town and water log it in my saltwater pool? I am looking at some HUGE pieces I would like and this is the only way I can think of getting it done.

TIA

Go for it. It's the time of the log in the pool that matters. Personally, with smaller pieces I "bake" them in oven then boil, then repeat few times and at night, I place in the bucket of water. Tannins is out even from fresh wood, however with fungus you'll have to deal somehow... or your fish will do the job.

Ok cool I was thinking 3-4 weeks in the pool to make sure everything is all leached out

I read some suggest using bleach. After saltwater bath - be sure to put it in freshwater before adding to aquarium or somehow remove the remaining salt.
