Everything looks pretty good to me. I can think of a few things that might help you in the long run. Silk plants are always good to help break some line of sight which probly will help in the long run. For heaters you could go with 2 200 watts or 1 400 watt heater that would be about right also I love the heaters you are talking about I have never broken one.

i would go with a 90gallon if this was going to be a long term breeding project. Also i would keep a 29gallon set up for the fry once they hit 1 inch. The reason for the 90 is you might have to put a divider in after you remove the fry because after this the male can become quite aggressive towards the female and the extra head room will help if the tanks divided...

Not really sure on the breeding aspect...I may just purchase a 40g breeder or something to house the male plus another 29g tank for the fry...woould this work?

You can leave the male and female with the fry. GTs are amazing parents and normaly eat their fry. Good luck

yes they are great but they dom't get as big as other cichilds...

A 40 gallon will be too small for the male gt unless its a bowfront but it needs to be at least 18" wide for a full grown GT to be comfortable. And if you get a male and female they will more then likely eventually breed once they hit 3+ inches...and 2 males in that small of a tank will not tolerate each other. I have a friend that breeds GT's in a 120. After the eggs hatch he leaves the fry in until they hit about 1.5" then transfers them to the 29 gallon using the water from the 120 to fill the 29. I have found that the small FLUVAL 2's or 3's work great on 29gallon fry tanks. Then after the fry is removed he puts in a divider in the 120 until its time to breed again which is usually 3 months. If you get lucky the male wont harass the female to breed again until shes ready but most cases he will eventually kill her if she wont breed soon enough so thats why its a good idea to divide them until breeding them again. If you choose to not breed get a 75 and put 1 male GT in there they make an awesome solitary specimen...
