What is the growth rate on an adonis. There are two at LFS, one at a little under 2 inches and one about 5 inches. There is a $40 difference in price. Do they grow so slow that it would be worthwhile buying the bigger one?

When I bought it, it was only 2 inch. 1.5 years later, it was almost a foot long. You also need to prepare your mind that you have big enough tank to hold one 'cause they eventually grow up to 6 feet. It is the largerst one among plecos as far as I know. Have fun with it!

Wrong fish... L155 is Acanthicus hystrix. Acanthicus adonis was scientifically identified, and never received a L#.TheFanatic;1620877;1620877 said:That's overstating it by about 200% don't you think. Planet Catfish says the Adonis (L155) grows to about 24 inches.
