I am happy to say I am the keeper of a new 14in Sliver. He has alot of orange in his fins and a deep dark sliver body. My question is that he has Drop Eye in the right eye. It doesnt look too bad, just looks like he is constantly looking down. I was just wondering if theres anything I can do to help it or cure it?

People get expensive surgery for them, usually they are done on asian arows. Congrats on your new pick up!

i've heard that people put ping pong balls in the water to keep them looking up, and eventually it will be better. This is what I've heard, may just be a myth though.

one way i heard is you put in a pond without sunlight for a while or something like dat idk if its true

you need to put in a big pond then it automatically cures by itself when u feed them regularly

I've seen this on youtube before..

video is a bit long but it shows the whole procedure... the background sound makes it kinda weird..... they make it all sexual.. i have no idea why....

I see, well I think I know why then it has Drop Eye. The previous owner had him in a 55g tank. I have him in my 125 for now. He is heathy looking and is very active. But how long before he will start eating? Its been almost 24 hours and he hasn't taken a bite.

it could be few days before he even shows any interest in food. aros dont like being moved or bothered. any little thing and they will stop eating. just give it time, he'll come around

So much relief, he started eat late last night, and he eat this morning also. I was watching him last night and he kept swimming near the top of the water and every once in awhile he would open his mouth. So I decided to throw acouple of hikari stick in for him. It was a pleasure to see him feed. :)
