Adopted a blood parrot at petco????

Today I did my first fished option lol at a petco. I was getting some feeders cause my usual lfs closes by the time I get off work. I get there and in an unlabeled tank see a fairly grown size blood parrot in a tank with a pictus catfish, it was so cute I just had to ask for it. They said it was for adoption, they gave it for $10, half of what they said they would normally sell it for. They made me fill out adoption papers and sign. She asked me about my tank size and tank mates; I loved that she worried about how I called my fish semi aggressive, and he was aggressive aggressive. It was al very cute lol, I don't usually by fish at petco but when I do it's a fishdoption :D haha. But then I asked the cashier lady if I had to name it right now and she said "no it's ok its just a fish.." Which killed it for me lol

That's funny.
 
We had people do that at Petsmart to adopt an unsellable small animal but never fish. We didn't take in fish either.
 
I thought petco didn't either, but Ionno maybe they made an exception for someone? The lady who broughtem in said she found him in a bag on top of a refrigerator.
