This year, our family opened our home to 3 additions we found in local Humane Society shelters. We originally had a siamese mix kitten and a rat terrier puppy. The puppy was found in a storm drain. Unfortunately, the original owners found that the shelter had the puppy and we were asked to return it. Since then we adopted 2 more kittens.
The siamese mix is Bijoux (french for 'jewel'). The tortoiseshell garnered her name from the stripe going up the center of her face. Her name is Moufette (french for 'skunk'). Our last adoption, and the youngest of the 3, is a Maine Coon kitten named Linette (french for 'little lioness')

What beautiful kitties! And lucky to have found a good home! Congrats!

From left to right are Linette (6lbs) (the youngest of the 3 by a month) then, Moufette (4 lbs) (a week younger then the siamese). Finally, Bijoux (3.5lbs) (15 weeks old). The siamese was the runt of the litter and it looks as if that's going to remain so within this trio. The Maine Coon's mother is just under 21lbs. In all liklihood, Linette is going to grow into a monster.

Awesome off you man. They look good and happy!! Congrats

They are all gorgeous, but that Maine Coon takes the cake. Been trying to talk the wife into one
for a year now. But she wont budge unless of course I give up one of my other pets. And my fish
go no where.;)
Make sure you keep us posted as she grows, she will be a tank once she reaches her full potential.

I steered my wife towards the Maine Coon but, she was hesitant. However, once she felt that its fur was chinchilla-soft, her resolution melted and she wouldn't put it down until we left the humane society.
Maybe worth a shot in your situation. Soft fur and huge emerald eyes can be big persuaders.

nice cats. They're fat like your fish.:D
