My pair of RTM spawned the other day and now the fry are free swimming. However the male has now paired of with another RTM and left the female looking after the fry herself. Except that my Mayan Cichlid has now taken the males father role. He is close enough to be able to eat the fry but instead he is just keeping other fish away.
