Sorry for all the picture threads lately....I'm still trying to learn how to use my first DSLR.

These two are showing very bright coloring and are starting to clean the small flowerpot in their tank. I was able to catch a few pictures of the male cleaning the bottom of the flowerpot with the female close behind him. I'm hopeful that they will spawn soon. Anyway, here are the pictures in order of them being taken.

Pics are coming out pretty good. Fish look good as well. Which cam u pick up? Oh, what type of leaves do u have in there and do they do anything to your ph?

Thanks :) I got a Nikon D50 with the standard 18mm-55mm lens. The leaves are oak and other hardwood leaves that you can find in your backyard. They haven't really done much to my PH. It is usually 7.6 and the tank has been reading steady at 7.4. They also haven't leached any tannins which I was hoping for. I really added them more for the habitat they create though. The fish love hiding in them,as do the shrimp.

Looking good - that's what they look and act like before they spawn!

I use Indian Almond leaves but mine have spawned in dechlorinated Maryland tap water :)

Thanks Matt :) Were you able to get any fry from your pair? I don't think I'm going to remove the fry from the parents for their first spawn(if there are any) with me. Hopefully they are successful and I have some fry soon! They are quickly becoming my favorite fish out of all the fish in all my tanks :)

I've gotten them to raise babies for about a week on two different times (a couple other spawns where they ate the eggs). Should have collected and raised some fry...but didn't (and they got munched).

They seem to fatten up to spawn on worms (black, blood, red wiggler)...
