I've seen alot of Jaguar cichlid posts lately and I was curious, with the Jag being territorial how much tank space does a Jag need to live with say
2 Salvini, Green Terror, 2 Firemouths and a Cyano?

Also how about mixing parachromis like a Jag and 3 RTM how big of a tank would it take? is it even possible?

125 for the first group. I would be leary of mixing parachromis. Most of us dont have the space for such a large tank that would be required for that.

A Jag with 3 RTM and those other fish you are lookin at like a 220. 210 is pointless because it is just a taller 180 I think. But yeah I would say your FM wouldnt last long with a male jag or RTM

it really depends on the individual fish, but i wouldn't put 3 rtm together because they will either form a breeding pair and kill everything or constantly fight each other if they are all the same sex, ive mixed rtm, with freddy, and jags in a 180 and there were no problems just a little gill flaring

From personal experience, minimum 125 GAL with lots of driftwood, rocks, and artificial plants, which provide plenty of hiding spots. Especially for smaller cichlids like firemouths.

well thank you for all your input.........money and space aren't a problem I was planning on a 200+ gal. and wasn't sure what else but thinkin' 150-180 to go along with my 125 and 75. These should be large enough to house everything I'm growin' out. Think I'm also gonna link my 3 30's and my 55 to the larger tanks as planted biological filtration/refrigium's but thats a whole new conversation.
