adult mota

I have the chance to get an adult red tiger mota . anybody have an adult I just need to know there temperment worse or about the same as jags any other advise would be cool

they are pretty similiar to jags they stay smaller.......... as for tempermant it somes down to the individual fish they can be killers or peacfull just depends on the fish in my expierence they tend to be quite aggresive..

My Jags were more aggr, but like Xinchavoc said it depends on the fish... Jags do get bigger though. RTM's top out around 12" where Jags get to around 18".

Yes individual fish act differently. However, IME my motas have been more aggressive than Jags. It's hard to beat a Jag when they flare up though..love the look. But...I love the colors on the mota...

If the fish looks outgoing and colorful in the tank...go for it!

i find motas to be more aggressive and jags to be more territorial...but it does depend on the individual fish...

IME they are more agressive than jags.Males can be pretty bad caracters in a 125gal or less
