Anyone think an adult ornate could eat an adult gold? My ornate is an F1 CB from a friend who used to breed them. I know CBs get smaller then ones right out of the wild, and the Gold Dust is WC from JA, so it'll get larger then a CB gold would, in theory. Also eats much more and eagerly then my ornate, who has never been an aggressive feeder (I've had him since he was 3 inches). I am prepared to separate just in case, for now theyre quite close in length w/ the ornate one topping it by a lil more then an inch.
If someone does think it'll be eaten, can you approximate a time frame? I know bichirs slow growth around 10 inch but not how much slower. For now he's been growing at least 1/2 inch to an inch a month.
Pics of both (crappy quality but the lil guy is so active especially when I get close with the phone).
1st is the Goldy and Ornate chilling, 2nd is all the preds, Ornate Red Hi Fin Wolf and Gold Dust. Just got the gold so I'm leaving the lights off for a while to lessen stress.
