By the time I do my big eel tank (210g or 240g), my green spotted puffer will probably be heading to full adulthood and be needing to upgrade to a larger home. Would he/she be able to live with the eels safely?
The eels will be juvies, about 10" long and the puffer would be at least 3-4", probably bigger. It's almost 2 1/2" now. I'm just wondering if they'll avoid it because they wouldn't be able to swallow it whole, and also due to the spines and the beak?
Sorry Pink I was on my phone and I can't see pics and by the time I go to the bottom I forgot who the O/P was so I'm sorry....
They should get along but with Eels that small it's gonna be the attitude of the GSP. Back when I did FW I had a GSP rip both eyes of my 12" Dragon Goby out of his head...
Thus far, the GSP I have has been very mellow. "She" doesn't bother any of the other fish (small or large) and doesn't bother any of my inverts. You would think she'd pick at my starfish, but she actually just sleeps on top of it curled up like a puppy, has never nipped at it. I keep her well fed though so that may be why she's more relaxed. I guess I will have to watch as she gets older and see how her personality develops then decide whether she will be OK with the eels.
